UCOP Efficiency Review Working Group presents Racing To Zero

Wednesday, March 30, 12p.m.
Franklin 5320, Oakland, California
Post-screening discussion featuring filmmaker Diana Fuller and Green Citizen founder James Kao

Come to a special screening of Racing To Zero documentary.

Garbage, vanishing natural resources, polluted oceans. The stakes are overwhelming. Is there anything that we, individually, can do about it?

The answer is yes! Racing To Zero is a quick-moving, upbeat documentary tracking San Francisco’s waste-stream diversion tactics. Three years ago, the mayor of San Francisco pledged to achieve zero waste by 2020. The substitution of the word “resource” for the word “garbage” transformed a culture, producing a wealth of new industries, and an intriguing and surprising race to zero.

The Efficiency Review Working Group invites you to a special screening of Racing To Zero, followed by an engaging discussion with the film’s producer, Diana Fuller, and Green Citizen founder James Kao.
