IRIS is partnering with Ferguson Library and Stamford Interfaith Refugee Settlement to bring the documentary This Is Home to Stamford. This film will be screened on February 28 at 6pm.

This Is Home is a Sundance award-winning film that puts a human face on the global refugee crisis by providing an intimate portrait of four Syrian refugee families arriving in the US and struggling to find their footing.

Prior to the film screening, Aminah will be providing Syrian cuisine samples from her catering business - Aminah's Authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine.

After the viewing of the documentary, there will be a question-and-answer period with IRIS Refugee Ambassadors Issa and Aminah, husband and wife from Syria, who were resettled by IRIS and a community co-sponsorship group in West Haven, CT, along with Chris George, IRIS Executive Director.

This program is also made possible through the support of the International Association of New Haven.
