The University of Tampa is a screening partner for the 2019 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers, a program facilitated by the nonprofit regional arts organization South Arts. Through this program the documentary This Is Home will be screened on April 9 at 6pm. This Sundance award-winning film puts a human face on the global refugee crisis by providing an intimate portrait of four Syrian refugee families arriving in the US and struggling to find their footing.

After the viewing of the documentary, there will be a question-and-answer period with the filmmaker Lindsey Megrue.
